Student Pulse is the classical music ticketing platform where students can book seats for the most well-known orchestras and venues in London for as little as £5. Vialma re-designed and re-launched the platform in October 2022, using its streaming technology to boost sales and increase engagement, as well as its expertise in marketing and community management.

Streaming for a ticketing service

Context

Student Pulse is the discounted ticketing platform designed for students in London and is the joint project of 9 of the leading orchestras and venues in London (LPO, RPO, Philharmonia, Barbican Centre, St John's Smith Square, BBC, Cadogan Hall, Southbank Centre, and the LSO). It was launched in 2013 to pool their marketing efforts and display in a single platform all the different institutions' student schemes.

In 2022, and after a successful 9 years of operation, the consortium put its trust into Vialma to re-launch the platform with a fresh website and a rejuvenated brand identity. The goal was to make cultural events more accessible to students and engage younger audiences in classical music.

Solution

After 3 months of market research, data analysis, and user interviews, Vialma designed the fresh and new Student Pulse website and launched it on October 2022.

To address the painpoints identified during the research phase, Vialma put its efforts into a user-friendly design and incorporated its streaming solution directly into the platform. Vialma's streaming solution allows students to discover more about the repertoire and book concerts they know they will enjoy!

After the delivery of the platform, Vialma delivered complete data reports to the partners who now have a complete overview of the platform's activity. Vialma also delivered a marketing service for Student Pulse, ensuring visibility accross social media to grow the community over time.

Vialma provided a complete service to its partners, including platform design, content creation, customer relations, marketing campaigns, reporting and social media management.

Outcome

After only 4 months of operation, the new Student Pulse platform had paid for itself and enabled thousands of students to enjoy London's cultural life. Metrics such as the number of tickets sold and website traffic showed significant growth. Students also gave positive feedback on the platform's ease of use. The success of the new platform has set the stage for future growth and innovation.
