Press Release: Vialma Hosts Enthralling Watch Party for UK Care Homes
London, August 7th 2023 - Vialma, the streaming platform specialised in Classical music and Jazz, successfully organised a captivating Watch Party on the 28th of July, delighting residents, staff members, and visitors from over 150 care homes across the UK. The live streaming event showcased the beautiful ballet "Jewels" by Balanchine, creating a memorable experience for approximately 2,000 attendees.
Watch Party; a unique live streaming concept by Vialma, aims to bring the joy of arts and culture to care home residents, fostering connectivity and engagement within their communities. In collaboration with Care England, the leading voice for independent care services in the country, Vialma orchestrated this event with meticulous attention to detail.
The mesmerising performance of "Jewels" by Balanchine left audiences spellbound, as they were transported into the captivating world of ballet. Residents of care homes, along with their dedicated staff members and visitors, immersed themselves in the enchanting art form, experiencing the magic of dance and music.
To ensure an all-encompassing experience, Vialma thoughtfully provided connectivity support during the Watch Party, ensuring uninterrupted access to the performance for all participating care homes. Additionally, each care home received an activity pack, brimming with engaging games, technical information about the event, and a stimulating quiz, enhancing the interactive element of the Watch Party.
This event marked the third successful collaboration between Vialma and Care England, with the previous Watch Parties featuring stellar performances by the London Philharmonic Orchestra (LPO) and the London Symphony Orchestra (LSO). The overwhelmingly positive feedback received from care homes who participated in the event reaffirms the profound impact of such initiatives in brightening the lives of care home residents.
"We are thrilled to witness the joy and enthusiasm our Watch Party brought to care homes across the UK," said Guillaume Descottes, Founder of Vialma. "Seeing the residents, staff, and visitors come together to enjoy the splendid performance of 'Jewels' has been truly heartwarming. We are deeply committed to promoting arts and culture accessibility, and we look forward to organising more engaging events in collaboration with Care England."
The success of this event has sparked a demand for more Watch Parties from care homes nationwide. Vialma is determined to continue its efforts to enrich the lives of care home residents and build stronger bonds within their communities through the power of the arts.
